Cantey Callaway Tull, President/CEO and owner of Tull Mortgage, LLC has established a team of mortgage professionals to help families structure mortgages to build wealth! Having been in the mortgage industry for over 30 years, she has closed more than 5000 loans for over $500 million. Prior to Tull Mortgage, as a member Bank of America’s Chairman’s Club, she ranked in the top 1% of loan originators nationwide. She also directed the national construction lending group for NationsBanc Mortgage, now Bank of America, and co-managed the South East region. She managed permanent loan originating teams and a construction lending team for speculative and presale construction at Wachovia Mortgage. Additionally, she managed the first mortgage division for a three state region at First Union (now Wachovia) which involved training of sales staff along with the processing, underwriting, closing and shipping for the region. Cantey feels that success does not depend on market conditions, but rather strong relationships, integrity, a focus on the customer, and a love of the business. She says, “When we close a loan, we are not just making a mortgage because we use that mortgage as a part of an overall financial plan. Although we do not have a fiduciary responsibility to our clients, we treat them as if we do. That is unlike many in our business who have a more short-sighted approach. We want our customers to come back to us.” Cantey is involved with multiple business affiliations, including the NC Association of Mortgage Professionals, National Association of Women Business Owners, Chamber of Commerce and many others.
